What is Safe Harbor?

Dedicated to the preservation of the physical health and spiritual welfare of adults experiencing homelessness, Safe Harbor offers food, shelter, and hope for their guests. Safe Harbor operates a non-profit, volunteer run seasonal Emergency Shelter on Wellington Street in Traverse City, and a year-round Housing and Human Services Resource Center.

Immaculate Conception Parish joins with the other Catholic Parishes in Traverse City and the larger faith community to serve at Safe Harbor Shelter. Our parishioners serve as a team serving a hot meal to guests, assisting shelter staff check-in guests, and helping guests to access their medications.
