How Can I Get Involved?

The Safe Harbor Shelter is largely run using volunteers and is funded through donations and grants. There are a number of ways you can support this community effort:

· Join your fellow parishioners in serving on one of the evenings listed above. There are different positions available both in the kitchen and out on the floor.

Donate snack items for the days that Immaculate Conception serves at the Shelter. Each evening small snack items are distributed to the guests. Examples of good snack items include:

  • Assorted cracker and cheese packages
  • Small bags of assorted chips
  • Soft granola and fruit bars
  • Assorted small packages of cookies
  • Easy peel clementine or mandarin oranges, bananas
  • Homemade treats such as cookies or brownies, but all must be individually wrapped

Snack items can be donated before/after Mass on December 9 and 10, as well as on March 9 and 10, and left on the designated tables in Centennial Hall.

· Donate towards the cost of purchasing food for the dinners that Immaculate Conception will serve. Each evening parishioners prepare and serve a hot, filling meal for upwards of 70 people.
